The Raven's Ball Murder Mystery

You step into the main ballroom, where the sounds of revelry clash jarringly with the events that have just transpired. Peter Nesterovic, the Stableman, is holding his lantern and greets you with a curt nod as he sees you approaching. His face looks troubled, though he’s clearly trying to maintain his composure.

You ask him about his whereabouts and what he saw.

"A tragedy, to be sure," Peter begins. "I was just coming in from tending to the horses and it was Elmira Ellet who came to find me first, said Mrs. Poe had collapsed while playing the piano. But I’ll tell you something—before all that, I overheard Mrs. Poe and Elmira arguing in the piano room. Can’t say I know what it was about, but they were at it, for sure."

He wipes his brow and continues.

"I also saw Mr. Poe speaking with Doctor Blackwell near the cemetery later that evening. Didn’t catch what they were talking about, though. And earlier, I found Amelia Cyrano snooping through Mr. Poe’s papers in the study. She took off in a hurry when I caught her. All sorts of strange goings-on this night, detective. If something nefarious did befall Mrs. Poe, there might be something happening in Mr. Poe's study."

You ask Peter for the location of The Study

"Right over toward the ballroom, you'll see a large scroll with one of Mr. Poe's writings on it, a large quill pen, and a candle." Peter also provides you descriptions of everyone he saw, which you write down in your notes for later.
